   I looooove this gigantic afgan! Please, is there any other fiber I can use?! I am allergic to wool I would love to buy your pattern and try it! Thank you so very much. Love your youtube video!

     Happy new year to you, too! You know, a lot of people ask me if they can use different fibers and the sad truth is that I just don’t know! I haven’t tried using any other fibers, so I can’t vouch for whether they’d work or not, and I don’t want to lead you down a laborious and expensive path if it’s not going to work out. Some other commenters have suggested using an i-cord machine to make a thicker “rope” of fabric and avoid the whole wool-roving/felting steps, but I haven’t tried that myself. Let me know if you do attempt it with a different fiber — I’d love to see the results!
