Ruffle Scarves
Have you all discovered ruffle yarn yet? I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to figure out what to do with this stuff, but now that I know I’m on a roll! I’ve made 4 or 5 scarves already and given them out to friends as gifts. The beauty of the ruffle yarn is that one skein makes a generously-long scarf, and you can make a scarf in one sitting!

This one was gifted to my friend Jen, who now wears it all the time! I made this version by doubling up the yarn and then just crocheting down the center of the webbing. It couldn’t be simpler, but it’s helpful to see the process in action before starting. Luckily, there’s a lot of videos to help you on ye olde youtube — here’s one from Unwind Yarn in Burbank:
Have you tried knitting or crocheting with ruffle yarn yet? What are your favorite brands?
