Okay, readers. I know you’re out there! And to help encourage you to de-lurk, I’m giving away a signed copy of my book!
I know you’re wondering, “how can I win such an awesome prize?” Well, all you have to do is leave a (non-spam) comment on this post. Make sure to include your email (it won’t be published and I promise not to sell it or give it away or spam you in return), and one lucky random commenter will win!
Contest will end on Thursday, February 3rd at noon Pacific time.
Here’s some more info about the book. Picture Perfect Knits was released by Chronicle Books in Fall 2008.
From the book jacket:
With simple directions, helpful illustrations, and inspiring photos of the finished projects, Picture Perfect Knits makes it easy to learn the basics of intarsia, how to navigate the charts, and finally how to design your very own intarsia graphs for the ultimate in one-of-a-kind knits. It’s easy, it’s fun, and the results are totally picture perfect!
Check out the book on Ravelry!
Images above are all patterns featured in the book.
And you can always just buy a copy for yourself if you don’t win 🙂
Good luck, everyone!

your book looks wonderful. I just learned how to do intarsia and think it’s the greatest thing. good luck on your give away
I hope your giveaway goes well. 🙂 I really love doing intarsia work, but I’m still working on making smaller parts (like a 3 stitch gap) bunch a little less.
Ooo, that looks like a great book. Intarsia is one of those things I haven’t learned yet but hope to.
I have not done any Intarsia but I have done some Fair Isle knitting and mosiac knitting.
Your book sounds great!
I have yet to try intarsia and can’t wait to give it a try!

Ooooh, I want it! 🙂
Your book looks really helpful. I’ve done a bit of intarsia but would welcome any help to improve.
I love knitting intarsia pictures. So far I’ve been figuring it out myself with a little help from some books, but not an entire book about intarsia knitting. Oh joyous rapture…I hope I win. : )
Looks like some neat projects… I guess It’s over to Rav to check them all out! Thanks!
I’d sworn I hated intarsia and would never ever do it… famous last word! since then I’ve started, mostly as method of using 2 different yarns & different stitch patterns. Would love to see your book!
I am always amazed by intarsia work but haven’t tried any yet. Thanks for the great giveaway!

I haven’t tried intarsia yet, but I love argyle, and I absolutely love Geek Chic from your book!
As a new argyler, I would absolutely love to win this book–I have really liked this technique and would love to try other types of picture knitting.
Count me in !
What a wonderful book!!! Picture that!. Many thanks for the change to win the addition.
One of my knitting resolutions is to knit an intarsia and a stranded knitting item. Would this book help me! It looks just lovely.
I haven’t dared to try intarsia yet, but I am thinking about it. Your book might do the trick.
Who can pass up a free book? I just discovered your site today, and look forward to spending many happy hours here. Thanks so much!
This book looks great! I love incorporating imagery into all my art, but haven’t really done so in knitting yet for some reason… I’ve never read your blog before today (was directed through another blog), but I like it very much and am a new feed subscriber. 🙂
It looks like a wonderful book! I would love to win it. Debbie in Alaska
Just added your blog to my Reader and looking forward to learning some great new tips!
what a wonderful giveaway! thank u… 🙂
I would love to have this book, Intarsia is on my list of things to learn.
A book like this is a good idea… There are plenty of charts out there, but an in-depth explanation of how it’s done and how charts are read is hard to find.
Your book looks great! I’d love to try intarsia and the patterns are really cool .
I consider myself a fearless knitter but intarsia leaves me quaking in my boots. This book would hopefully put that fear to rest!
What a wonderful addition to my colorwork library this would be! I can always stand to learn new tricks.
I’ve shied away from Intarsia, but a great book like this could change all that!
I would love to win this book! Thanks so much for the giveaway!
I made it to this contest just in time, phew! I’m on a quest to become an Epic Knitter, but I have this irrational fear of tackling intarsia and graphs… this book might just be the one to conquer my fears. 🙂
